Our Process.

  • An initial consultation to meet & discuss your project. Assessment of the site or property allows us to understand any limitations or complexities. We gather as much information from you as possible to really understand the design brief. We also discuss budget and feasibility.

  • Based on our initial consultation we then compile a design brief, scope of services and our schedule of fees. Once accepted, a formal contract is signed.

  • Our concepts typically start with sketches, but we also utilize 3d modelling from the initial stages of design to communicate the design intent.

A ‘look book’ of reference images and a proposed material palette forms part of the concept package.

  • This stage sees the development of the concept into a more detailed design, including construction method refinement as well as aesthetics.

Any amendments from the initial schematic design or changes required to the design due to budget are incorporated. Preliminary finishes and materials will be presented to you for feedback.

A structural engineer and other consultants are typically engaged.

If Planning Approval is required, a submission to the local council will be lodged.

  • A full set of construction drawings is prepared as well as a Specification.

All consultants’ information is incorporated into the architectural drawings and final finishes/ materials schedules are prepared.

The drawings and Specification form the submission to the local Council for Building Permit and once approved, the Permit will be awarded to your selected builder.

We can also assist with builder recommendations or procure a competitive tendering process to obtain a suitable builder.

  • Collaboration is what we are about. This means being involved on site to assist the builder and trades in delivering the best possible outcome.
